Believing in young people means giving them the space and time to express their potential: this is what we want to do in CO-VER, both by participating in the PCTO project (work placement) and opening the doors to trainees. “As far as regards working alongside local schools, since 2017 we have welcomed about 10 students to the company. Each student is assigned a tutor to help work on their project”, explains Manuela Iavarone, who is responsible for Human Resources in CO-VER. “There were just as many trainees, who are either school leavers or graduates, and they were assigned to all areas of work: more than half have been hired, three this year alone.” An opportunity for school students to experience company reality, helping them with future careers orientation. An opportunity for trainees, preparing to enter the world of work, to acquire the practical knowledge and skills needed to move in a well-informed manner. It is also an opportunity for CO-VER, who is in effect making a pact with the future, to bring about change that can only happen by investing in the talent of future generations.
